In recent days, global headlines have shifted rapidly, affecting deployed service members serving far from home.
Deployments have been extended. Tensions have risen. Families are adjusting plans once again.
For the service members serving overseas, however, the mission continues — steady, disciplined, and often far from home.
And so does ours.
More than 5,200 deployed service members are actively supported through FSO’s WE CARE Program. Many are serving in regions experiencing increased uncertainty. Some were scheduled to return home and are now staying longer. Others are navigating their first deployment. Some receive little or no mail at all.
We hear from them.

Another service member reminded us: “Receiving a care package means more than just getting a box in the mail — it’s a reminder that someone, somewhere, is thinking about you.”

These messages are not about headlines. They are about people.
When uncertainty increases, small reminders of home matter more.
A care package does not change global events.
But it changes a moment.
It reminds a service member that someone is thinking of them.
It reinforces connection.
It offers encouragement in environments that often feel isolated.
Supporting Deployed Service Members in Uncertain Times
Support is consistency.
It is boxes packed week after week.
It is letters written by hand.
It is volunteers showing up.
It is donors choosing to continue giving.
While news cycles move quickly, deployments do not. Service members remain in place long after headlines fade.
That is why our commitment remains steady.
From Bahrain and Kuwait to ships at sea, from Europe to remote posts around the world, FSO continues shipping care packages every month — ensuring no deployed service member feels forgotten.
Encouragement Matters
In moments like these, encouragement carries added weight.
Not because fear increases.
But because separation does.
Because extended deployments stretch families.
Because the routine of mail call becomes something steady in an otherwise shifting environment.
When a package arrives, it carries more than items — it carries reassurance.
It carries connection.
It carries the message: You are not forgotten.
