FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS OUTREACH, INC. AND PALM BEACH MEMORIAL PARK PARTNER FOR THE 12th ANNUAL “ A DAY TO REMEMBER” MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

“50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE VIETNAM WAR”

Lantana, FL – Forgotten Soldiers Outreach invites the public to attend the 12th Annual “ A Day to Remember” Memorial Day Service hosted by Palm Beach Memorial Park, on Monday, May 29, 2017.   Service is from 11:50AM-2:00PM.

Every year we have a unique theme, and this year it is “50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War”.   The Master of Ceremonies will again be Jim Sackett, a local veteran newscaster, and respected Media personality.

The program will also include other honorary guest speakers, including a Greeting from the Military by one of FSO’s recent recipient, SGT Latania E. Mccook with the Army Florida National Guard.  She recently returned home from a tour in the Horn of Africa in support of Task Force Seminoles.  The Keynote Speaker will be Vietnam Veteran TSgt Michael Coleman (ret) who served 21 years in the United States Air Force.

Other participants will be Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Boynton Beach Fire Department Honor Guard,  Santaluces High School Army JROTC, Olympic Heights Community High School MCJROTC, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 395, and Cub Scouts of America Pack 241, Palm Beach Pipe & Drums, Patriotic Music & DJ – Brandon V, and much more.    USVII will have a submarine torpedo on display. 

There will also be Wreath presentations by local organizations and individuals, as well as a special presentation of the Wreath of Honor by Vietnam War Veterans, Vini Conigliaro and Deborah Zukero and the infamous dove release.  The National Anthem and God Bless America by Haileigh Galloway. There will be complimentary food and beverages following the service.

“We welcome the public, local dignitaries, and truly encourage families to bring their children for this special “A Day to Remember” Memorial Day Service.   We applaud Palm Beach Memorial Park for continuing to host this event with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach again for such an important event to acknowledge our veterans past and present, especially at such a time as this” said Lynelle Chauncey Zelnar, Executive Director and Founder of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. Zelnar added, “I continue to be so proud that my 12 year old son, Bryson Baggett, will again be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance this year, he’s so excited that he “owns” this honor for this event, he has been doing this since he was 4 years old!”
