Our goal is to continually encourage the men and women who are abroad fighting for our great nation. Our hope is to inspire hope, strength and courage while they are separated from loved ones, families,…
On April 12, 2014, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, the Florida Panther's and InCapital were delighted to honor Major Tom Folsom with the United States Air Force. This presentation is sponsored by InCapital through the Panther's Organization. It was a wonderful night to have Folsom on the ice during the National Anthem that was sung by Lou Galterio. As always, part of the sponsorship via InCapital and the Panther's, Major Folsom was on the ice during the National Anthem, then went off the ice to receive his own personalized Florida Panther's jersey and then was able to sit with his wonderful family and watch the game. We thank you Major Folsom for you and your service as well as your families service.
What an awesome day it was for our poker run. The weather was great, no rain but hot, there were 208 riders who participated in the run. We had great bands and vendors and our Hosts - Loyal Order of the Moose and the MFC MC - were very gracious. We couldn't have asked for anything more than perfect!!! Thank you to all the bands, the vendors, the riders, the supporters, the volunteers from The Moose, The MFC MC and FSO and everyone involved.....THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
We would also like to thank Michael Polissky Productions, Lynelle Zelnar and Gina Abbananto for all the pictures.
A big thank you to Bill & Tracy from Sunny 107.9 FM radio as they were doing celebrity bartending to raise funds for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. They did an excellent job raising the much needed funds to help us ship out our "We Care" packages. Thank you to Bill & Tracy!!!!!!
Here are some items we are in desperate need of. They are: lip balm, Slim Jims, Q-tips in quantities of 200-500 packages, snack sized storage bags, individual drink mixes, men's disposable razors, tampons, small beef jerky bags (individual sized), breakfast and snack bars and hotel toiletries. If you have these items or would like to donate them, please bring them to our National Operations Center located at 3550 23rd Avenue South, Suite 7, Lake Worth, FL 33461. Thank you so very much for the support. Please share this info everyone you know.
Flat Adrian came to us via Pueblo County School District 70 at Pleasant View Middle School in Pueblo, Colorado. We did all sorts of things with Flat Adrian and sent him back today to Colorado.......What a GREAT IDEA!!!!!!
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach was invited to Hurricane Grille & Wings 3rd Anniversary Party in Mission Bay. They were a great host. They allowed FSO to set up a booth to bring awareness to West Boca about us. The night was great with a DJ, and later on a band, a wing eating contest that participants had to sign a waiver for......the wings smelled hot (like "on fire" hot), three point basketball shoot out and much more. It was a great evening overall. Thank you Gus for inviting FSO into your party.
This was a great night for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. We raised a lot of money to send out our "We Care" Packages to the troops that night. Gina (Volunteer Manager) and Jeanelle Avallone (Assistant to Executive Director) were rocking the house and getting out the word about FSO. That night FSO was the charity of the month. Harley allowed FSO to collect items for our "We Care" Packages as well. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined in the festivities. ALSO BIG SHOUT out to Johnny Vega for being the MC that night. Every time we turned around, we heard him promote FSO!!! GREAT JOB Johnny Vega.
On March 7, 2014, Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, the Florida Panther's and InCapital were delighted to honor SSGT Christian Gonzalez with the United States Army. This presentation is sponsored by InCapital through the Panther's Organization. It was a wonderful night to have Gonzalez on the ice during the National Anthem that was sung by Erin Rose. As always, part of the sponsorship via InCapital and the Panther's, SSGT Gonzalez was on the ice during the National Anthem, then went off the ice to receive his own personalized Florida Panther's jersey and then was able to sit with his wonderful family and watch the game. We thank you SSGT Gonzalez for you and your service as well as your families service.
We just received our new shipment of Girl Scout Cookies!!!!!!! Our volunteers worked very hard to put all the new cookies up on the shelves. As you can see we have a big assortment of cookies.....sorry guys, no Thin Mints in this shipment. But we do have Samoa's!!! Thank you to all the volunteers that came in to help with the unloading and stocking of the cookies.
We would like to thank the Florida Panthers and InCapital for their awesome sponsorship of the National Anthem Presentation. FSO brings an active duty military person (Active Duty, Reserves or National Guard). What happens next is simply amazing! That particular military person goes out on the ice with the person singing the National Anthem as they get recognized in the announcement of the National Anthem. Then, off the ice the military honoree receives their own personalized Panther's Jersey and they and their family members receive tickets to watch the Panther's game.
This particular game on February 27th was a little special for all of us. SFC Eddie Alexander of the US Army was the recipient of the sponsorship. His wife SSGT Maria Alexander has already been a recipient of one of the December games. SFC Alexander just returned home from Afghanistan in January. Plus while he was in Afghanistan, FSO sent him our "We Care" packages while he was deployed. The extra special moment for us was when we asked Maria to go out on the ice with her husband. This meant a lot to us as we are sure it did to them. We cannot thank the both of them enough for all they do and thank their children also for being there for their parents as they both serve. HOOAH!!
It is truly a pleasure in honoring our heroes. The Florida Panther's and InCapital did just that on February 6th. This time they honored Petty Office 2nd Class Fran O'Brien in the Navy Reserves. Lou Galterio sang the National Anthem. What an experience. We were all allowed to go up to the Duffy's Skybox area and enjoy the view from there also. Thank you all for a wonderful evening in honoring Ms. O'Brien.
This was our fifth year at Somerset Academy in Pembroke Pines Elementary School. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for an awesome job you all did collecting the much needed items and letters of encouragement. This year we had four soldiers there to talk to the students of Somerset and explain to them how important it is for them to do a donation drive. The soldiers in some of the pictures are: SFC Chuck Waller, SSG Angel Lantigua, SSG Amado Puentes and SSG Jessica Smith. Thank you all for your service.
Thank you to all students and staff of Sunrise Park Elementary for your generous donations of items and letters of encouragement. All of this will be put directly into our "We Care" packages. Thank you again. Great Job!!!
One of FSO's Honorary Board of Directors, Dougie Hitchcock from Thunder Country 100.3 was surprised when he picked up all these items donated by the Layton Garden Club. Dougie made sure he had help and picked them all up for us. Good job to Layton Garden Club and Dougie for getting these items to us.
We would like to share with you the thank you letters that our recipients send to us. As more come in, we will post them. Just a quick note, we would like to say......THANK YOU to our recipients for all they do for us here in the states while they are deployed. You all are doing an awesome job.
FSO is honored to be apart of the Panther's National Anthem Presentation along with our sponsor InCapital. Thank you to both!! On this night we honored SSGT Maria Alexander with the Army. SSGT Alexander and her family are very unique. Why you ask? Well, not only is Maria in the Army, her husband is as well and is currently deployed. She is holding down the homefront while her husband is away. They are a true Army family. We had a great time during the game. Her family enjoyed the game as well. Thank you to SSGT Alexander for her service to our country and for her service here at home.
We would like to share this album with you all because it shows how much our young adults care for our soldiers. They took the time to write letters of encouragement to our men and women serving overseas.
These students are with the SHAPE (Student Helping to Achieve Philanthropic Excellence) Program at Lake Worth Community High School. (Right around the corner from our National Operations Center in Lake Worth.) The SHAPE Program is a High School based initiative teaching the youth about non for profit organizations, such as Forgotten Soldiers Outreach. This is done through videos and lectures by the adviser. The students learn about the non for profit organizations, they vote on their own mission statement then they research non for profits in Palm Beach County that fit their missions statement. They send out grants to the non for profits which they have approved. When the grants come in, they grade them and if they fit the criteria then they ask the non for profits to come in and give a presentation about why the should get the grand. They fundraise about $500.00 and then SHAPE INC donates $500.00 which makes the grant a total of $1,000.00 Then the students vote on who gets the money. This year the students did letters for us, however maybe next year we will qualify for their program.
We thank all of the students for taking their time to write letters to go into our "We Care" packages. We truly appreciate that.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who came out to support our Wrestling for the Troops event hosted at the American Legion Post 47 in Lake Worth in conjunction with the Okeeheelee Stallions Baseball Team. BIG THANK YOU to the American Legion Post 47 for hosting the event. We had a good turn out and couldn't thank you more for the support.
What more can we say other than FSO is honored by our sponsorship with InCapital and the Florida Panther's. We are truly blessed to honor our heroes at some of the home games. One December 10th we were pleased to honor SSG Amado Puentes with Lou Galterio singing the National Anthem. As you can see, as part of the sponsorship, Puentes received his own Florida Panther's jersey with his name on it and the number 13 signifying the 2013-2014 season. Thank SSG Puentes for all you do to keep us safe and. Again, it is an honor to honor you. Video of the National Anthem will be posted shortly.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank InCapital and the Florida Panthers for their National Anthem Presentation. This night we honored our recipient, SSG Lantigua. SSG Lantigua is in his dress blues for all the pictures. We had the honor also of having SSG Leonor singing the National Anthem. We also had the pleasure of honoring a Vietnam Veteran, Fred Gutierrez. Thank you to all these fine men who serve and have served our Country.
This is such a great honor to watch the students of Somerset Pines do a presentation of the Colonies of the United States. This was done by all of the school. What an honor for us at FSO to watch. We will have videos on this too. Again, we brought SSGT Castellucci to speak to the students, staff and parents about the "We Care" packages we send to those that do not receive any support from home. Somerset Pines presented FSO with all their letters of encouragement and a check to help us ship out our packages. We thank you all for the support.
We would like to thank the students, parents and staff of Somerset Pompano Beach for having Forgotten Soldiers Outreach at their school. The students presented FSO with all their letters of encouragement that all wrote. Plus they presented us with a check to help ship out our "We Care" packages. FSO had a special treat for them, we brought SSGT Castellucci to speak to them on how important our packages and letters are important to our men and women like him are while they are deployed. It was an honor to be at this particular school for the first time. We truly appreciate the play the did also. It was awesome. We will have a video of SSGT Castellucci speaking to the students.

Second, we would like to thank all the volunteers and Veterans who held our banner and military flags as well as our American Flag. Third, we would like to thank all the Girl Scouts and walked in the parade for FSO. All of you did an excellent job in representing Forgotten Soldiers Outreach at the Veterans Day Parade in Downtown West Palm Beach. Also a thank you goes to Mike Trim and David Knapp for announcing what FSO does.....THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
Here of some photos of the students that are volunteering at Forgotten Soldiers Outreach on October 23, 2013. We had them cleaning up our shelves and making sure they were tidy and nice. They were all working together as a group of responsible teens using their team working skills as young adults. We thank all the students of Lake Worth Christian School from Boynton Beach for helping by keeping our area in the warehouse clean for all the volunteers to be focused on our Mission. Thank you Lake Worth Christian School.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsor, InCapital for allowing us to honor our heroes at the National Anthem Presentation with the Panther's Hockey team. Tonight we honored SGT Charles Harden of the Florida Army National Guard. Lou Galterio blessed everyone with his extremely awesome voice by singing the National Anthem. FSO is proud and honored to be apart of this sponsorship with InCapital and the Panther's.
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach was honored to be a part of this National Anthem Presentation at the Florida Panther's Game on October 11, 2013. This event was completely sponsored by InCapital out of Boca Raton, Florida. This game was the opening game of the hockey season. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, along with InCapital and the Florida Panther's, are honoring our men and women who serve our United States Armed Forces. At this game, our very own SFC Chris Patel who is currently active duty in the Army, was honored at the game. To our surprise, we also had another active duty Army person, SGT Mervin Leonor singing the National Anthem. Truly, this was an amazing experience for anyone who attended the game. We thank Chris and Mervin and everyone who who served and is currently serving......these men and women should be honored everyday for what they do for us. Please never forget these men and women.
This is a rare set of pictures that were taken. Forgotten Soldiers Outreach filled up three SUV's and delivered all these packages to our local post office in Lake Worth. All three locations participated all at the same time on the same date. Thank you to all three locations for helping us out. The employees and customers of Whole Foods did an awesome job. Just to let you know, too, that all the food that was cooked and prepared was all donated and cooked by Whole Foods. Great job guys and gals!

On May 21, 2013, Michael Coleman and Cassie O'Connor, did a speaking engagement to the students and staff of Christa McAuliffe Middle School.
