Palm Beach Supports Troops at Annual Celebrity Bartending Event at Nick & Johnnie’s
LAKE WORTH, FL (Oct. 11, 2016) – Guests were asked to report to Nick & Johnnie’s in Palm Beach at 1700 hours on September 28th. Their orders? To honor U.S. military personnel and veterans and have some fun while raising money for Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, a nonprofit organization that since 2003 has sent more than 400,000 “We Care” packages to U.S. troops overseas.
New and longtime supporters of Forgotten Soldiers Outreach turned out to greet celebrity 1sgt Matt Eversmann US Army (retired) – Member of Task Force Ranger depicted in the book and movie, Black Hawk Down, retired U.S. Major Gen. Wayne P. Jackson (FSO Board Member); Tim Malloy – News reporter, recipient of eight Emmy Awards, Lorna O’Connell – Radio Personality from 100.3 FM Legendsradio.com and Chelsea – Radio Personality from WIRK 103.1 FM.
Their talents behind the bar drew tips and donations of just over $1,100 that will help pay for shipping the October “We Care” packages to U.S. troops.
Guests also heard plans for FSO’s 2ND Annual l “A Hero’s Toast” Champagne Brunch, being held November 16th at The Colony hotel in Palm Beach.
