How to Sign Up for Packing Events

17.08.2010

Forgotten Soldiers Outreach

Our Monthly packing events format has changed.  In 2014, we have quarterly Open/Public Packing events.
In order to assure that all of our recipients are not forgotten, we have restructured our format.   FSO will be increasing Sponsored Packing Events for all other months and throughout the year.  They can be held on different days of the week, and are not limited to being held on Saturday’s.

2014 Public Packing Event Schedule will be posted on a quarterly basis

The packing event first quarter schedule is now ready for those who wish to register.  If you are new to FSO and have not participated before, I highly encourage you to sign up and experience this awesome feeling.

NEW REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN PACKING EVENT -PLEASE BRING EITHER ITEMS TO DONATE, LETTERS OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND/OR FEEL FREE TO MAKE A MONETARY DONATION (TAX DEDUCTIBLE) TO HELP WITH THE SHIPPING COSTS OF THE “WE CARE” PACKAGES”

The schedule for the second quarter is available:

MAY 17TH  10am-2pm

The “open to the public packing events” are by reservation ONLY.   We cannot take groups of 5 ore more for the public packing, but encourage you to contact our office to do a Sponsored Packing Event.

Our reservation limit is the first 25 people only.   If we are filled with reservations of 25 people, we will then start to take a back up list in case someone cancels their reservation.

If you are interested in participating in one of our packing events and would like to make your reservation,  please contact our Packing Event Manager at [email protected] or call the National Operation Center  at 561-369-2933.  Please let us know how many people are you bringing, we will need your phone number and a reliable email address to contact you.

*EVEN THOUGH WE MAY BE BOOKED FOR CERTAIN PACKING DATES, WE WELCOME YOU TO CONTACT US ABOUT DOING PRIVATE SPONSORED PACKING EVENTS DURING ANY GIVEN MONTH**

Sponsored Packing Events’s (“SPE”):  $25/Individuals, $155/Squad box   5 people minimum for Sponsored Packing Events

Sponsored Packing Events are geared specifically for groups (private packings such as businesses, parties, clubs,  etc.- where the participants determine how many boxes they wish to sponsor !     For more information on SPE contact John Oldham, FSO Community Relations Manager at  [email protected] or call 561-503-5819.  These packings can be done any day and at any time, and are not limited to Saturday’s, providing there are openings on the schedule.   In addition, to just packing a box, you will participate in a Team Challenge (which is alot of fun), full of educational information about the military, and what actually is involved in packing a “We Care” package.   You wouldn’t believe some of the facts!!!

This is also a great way for students to receive community service for graduation also. Again, please email your reservation to packingevents@forgottensoldiers.org to participate.
